Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Chotafy website and app. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Chotafy.

2. What Chotafy is

Chotafy is a platform that lets sellers create online stores and receive orders. Chotafy is not the seller of the products listed in stores.Each sale is between the buyer and that store's seller, who is responsible for the product, price, delivery, returns and payment they offer.

3. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.
• Provide accurate information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• One-time codes may be sent to your WhatsApp or phone to log in or verify your number.

4. Seller responsibilities

• List only products you are allowed to sell, with accurate names, photos, prices and descriptions — including anything suggested by our AI tools, which you must check before publishing.
• Honour the delivery time, return/exchange policy and payment options you show on your store.
• Use buyers' personal details (name, phone, address) only to fulfil and support their orders, keep them secure, and do not share or sell them.
• Comply with applicable laws, including consumer protection, tax (such as GST where applicable) and data protection laws.
• Keep your seller information (name, contact and address, where shown) accurate.

5. Buyers

When you place an order, your order details are shared with the seller so they can deliver it. Questions about a product, delivery, payment, returns or refunds should first be raised with the seller, for example using “Chat with seller”. If a seller does not respond or you suspect a problem, use “Report this store” or contact us.

6. Trust badges and information

A “WhatsApp verified” badge means the seller confirmed their WhatsApp number with a one-time code. Ratings, orders delivered and similar figures come from activity on Chotafy. These help buyers decide, but they are not a guarantee or endorsement of a seller or product by Chotafy.

7. Plans and payments

Some features require a paid plan. Plan prices and limits are shown before you subscribe. Payments are processed by Razorpay under its terms. Payments that buyers make to sellers (for example by UPI or cash on delivery) go directly to the seller; Chotafy does not hold that money.

8. Your content

You own the content you upload (products, photos, descriptions, store details). You allow Chotafy to host, display and share it as needed to run your store — including on public store pages, in search engines and in share images — and you confirm you have the rights to it.

9. Prohibited use

• Illegal, counterfeit, dangerous or restricted products, or misleading listings.
• Fraud, spam, harassment, or impersonating another person or business.
• Misusing buyer or seller data, or attempting to break, overload or reverse-engineer the platform.

10. Suspension and removal

We may remove content, hide a store, or suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or the law, or that puts buyers at risk. Where appropriate, we will tell you why.

11. Ending your account

You can stop using Chotafy at any time and ask us to delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Service availability and liability

We work to keep Chotafy available and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. To the extent permitted by law, Chotafy is not liable for transactions, disputes or losses between buyers and sellers, or for indirect losses such as lost profits or data.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For important changes, we will show the new version and ask you to agree before you continue using your account.

14. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. For questions or complaints, contact our Grievance Officer, at support@chotafy.com.
